princess moms vs their offspring. I’m pretty happy with how Iridescence (middle) turned out, but Skyla (right) and Artemis (left) are a little more meh. Neither of them are as bulky as they should be, especially Skyla, who takes more after Shining Armor’s heavy strong build than Cadence’s thin frame. Oh wellll
oh my god this vid from a /ck/ thread is incredible
my kinda diet
What
This video looks like how it feels when youre crying in your bed at 3 am out of anxiety and youre trying to cheer yourself up by watching videos but all it does is make your brain feel more erratic.
Reading about abusive men and the way they think. Very unsettling and an incredible book so far. Here are my very professional notes.
what book is this?
This is from “Why Does He DO That” by Lundy Bancroft.
I’m so glad I’m seeing more and more Lundy Bancroft quotes on my dash because this book CHANGES THE LIVES OF ABUSE VICTIMS.
The programs run for rehabilitating abusive men through the courts? Bancroft DESIGNED THEM. His programs are replicated ALL OVER THE WORLD. He literally wrote THE book on abuser rehabilitation.
Can we talk about how it seems like the entirety of the book is online on PDF, this making it accessible to anyone with an internet connection?
That is how we stop abuse.
We enable everyone to know what it looks like, so that when it happens, they can shut it down.
Arm yrself with knowledge!
Changed my life, would reccomend.
Reblogging for the PDF link.

Always reblogging because this isn’t just a partner abuse thing, this is a common abuse tactic PERIOD: Parents, siblings, bosses, general assholes, etc…
Pretty sure I’ve reblogged this like eight times, don’t care.
“Always reblogging because this isn’t just a partner abuse thing, this is a common abuse tactic PERIOD: Parents, siblings, bosses, general assholes, etc…”
THIS. I saw a post the other day that literally said if you do it to a fictional character, you’ll do it in real life.
No. Just NO.
I’m so glad someone put it into words.
Lin-Manuel Miranda is a legend, and he’s absolutely right.
And I really feel like there are parts of fandom that don’t get or don’t believe this, and I think that’s troubling. I’ve seen arguments that people shouldn’t have dark fantasies, or that bad impulses in themselves make a bad person. I’ve seen so much shaming over thoughts.
And if you get to a point where it’s bad to have dark thoughts and it’s bad to wonder what something would be like and it’s bad to put yourself in the shoes of anyone who isn’t “pure”, if fiction is no longer a realm where you can confront and explore, but an ongoing test of moral purity… well, maybe not everyone’s brain works like mine, but I feel like that takes away something incredibly important to being human.
Purity culture is gonna kill art if y’all let it.
We live with a younger generation who seriously believe that censorship is more important that creativity.
We got extremist and a younger audience, who aren’t supposed the be reading alot of these things, as well as other people who take it too literally. Just because it’s portrayed onto art or writting, etc. Doesn’t mean we support or want it in rl. It’s to bring more realism in our work for the good and bad. Alot of times it’s self-therapedic to vent out our dark emotions, psychological traumas, experiences, and just simply to explore as stated above. Don’t judge anyone by their work, it doesn’t reflect who they are in real life.
I mean you like GOTs right? It has incest, rape, murder, you name it. And just because you like the series, or the writer himself doesn’t mean you support these in rl either.
Same goes for any horror films, art, stories you enjoy, action movies including starwars. It’s all the same. Sure there’s rainbows and glitter, but even the dark is part of life as well.
He’ll even history has it, it’s just apart of life.
But stop with the hate of FICTION and FANTASY ART. It’s NOT REAL. You have an option to not read dark stuff..thats why TAGS exist.
Yes. To all of the above – exploring dark themes in writing or art has nothing to do with reality in the way that some people seem to think. You no like something? You no watch/read – it is that simple.
I just love the myth of Persephone, i mean the real, original version of it, because it’s not like she got kidnapped, no, this bitch was la-de-da-ing in a meadow and she just happened to find an entrance to the Underworld and she was like “Imma check this out”. And she just wanders into the Underworld and discovers that hey this place ain’t too bad.
Meanwhile Hades is in the background “????? UM??? PRETTY GIRL??? WHY ARE YOU HERE?????? YOU AREN’T DEAD???”
And Persephone (who was originally called Kore just a little fyi) just looked at him and said “I like it here. I’m staying.”
And Hades kinda just went with it, until Demeter started throwing the temper tantrum of the millenium upstairs and Zeus had to intervene because this shit was getting out of hand and its actually his job to be admistrator of justice. Which considering the shit he gets up to is kinda histerical but that’s another story there.
And basically Persephone wasn’t a prisoner or kidnap victim at all she just really loved the Underworld and her (eventual) husband, and the Greeks feared her arguably more than her husband because Hades could be reasoned with but Persephone was the one laying the smack down on sinners, and really, who wouldn’t be at least a little scared of someone who’s name means something along the lines of “the destroyer”
Basically, Persephone is amazing and everbody needs to get on her level
i think the best part of that myth is that Zeus decided to change Kore’s name to Persephone (basically “the one who brings chaos”) only because she wanted to stay in the underworld and SHE WOULDN’T FUCKING LISTEN then Zeus, all-mighty king of the gods, kinda gives up and goes “fine, but you’re going to visit your mom” “also, I changed your name” “get rekt”
Also, if I’m not mistaken, Kore means “little girl” so imagine going from that to “chaos bringer”
I mean, going from little girl to chaos bringer sounds like a p solid deal to me, sign me up.
This may not be the version of the myth that’s commonly known and taught. But is is the original, from before it was altered to scare Greek/Roman girls into submission. Persephone was a badass bitch.
I can explain! Rn in Japan they have this thing 壁ドン (kabedon, literally “wall thump”): when a dude slams his hand on the wall by a girl to keep her caged there with his arm. It’s supposed to be hella manly and sexy, but really people just meme the hell out of it, like the above.
