I don’t listen to panic! At the disco much but he seems like a fun guy to hang out with
At my show, he paused, looked around, and went “hey, you guys said it, not me” and held his hands up like he was the most innocent creature on planet earth. He’s pretty fun.
must have been easier to be alive before news traveled so fast and you were only ever aware of a handful of tragedies instead of thousands and thousands of them being delivered to you on a daily basis. why is there even a question of why our generation is so depressed and anxious like I’ll tell you why?? everything i read breaks my heart and my capacity to empathize and be outraged is absolutely maxed out. yeah i’m sad bitch! we’re all sad! there’s no relief!
and that’s why i don’t watch the news! our stupid monkey hearts aren’t meant to handle the entire world’s suffering, so why do we subject ourselves to it?
The only thing carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders achieves is that it eventually crushes you.
Was Ursula even a villain or did Ariel’s dumb ass just not read the contract????
Ursula is a business smart trans woman and Ariel is a dumb terf that’s just tea!
Wait I used to think Ursula was a cis woman
She is, but her design is based on a drag queen.
Oh, got it. I didn’t know drag queens are a thing back then when I watched it
Verka Serdyuchka was already on TV when I saw it as a kid, but she’s a different kind of drag performer.
I used to forget that Verka Serdyuchka was a man, tbh
Yeah, same, especially when she focused on singing. Very believable character.
Ursula was based on Divine, a drag queen who did several movies in the 70s (big fucking warning, never EVER watch Pink Flamingos. Divine literally ate dog shit on camera, that is not a prop). Divine also played in the original Hairspray as Edna Turnblad, the same role that John Travolta portrayed in the 2007 version.
And casual reminder that The Little Mermaid was released in 1989 and next year is it’s 30 year anniversary. Damn do I feel old.
