You ever write up a post you decide will be too controversial or embarrassing but leave it in your drafts to sleep on and then forget about it? How about real personal stuff you weren’t sure you wanted to share at the time? Heavy-ass receipts on bad shit you’re leaving there only just in case you’re forced to use them?
Well if any of your drafts get flagged by the new system, a mod can apparently see them in with all your other flagged posts, and if they un-flag them, it publishes them automatically as a brand new post. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
I know there’s a lot of tension after Tumblr’s new policy annouced for December 17th, but reblog this if you aren’t leaving Tumblr so that other blogs can know they aren’t going to be completely alone!
seeing a 17 year old on this site saying that the porn ban is good because they think we’re all “porn-obsessed” and need to “realize not everyone wants to see you discussing porn” is quite sad. i cannot comprehend the kind of conservative sheltering these poor children are subject to (here’s a hint from a social worker: sheltering doesn’t prevent harm, but enables it even further)
we were here way before you. you were barely 7 years old when this website began. you werent even born yet when online fandom and fic became a thing. we have been tagging since the beginning. the reason you have any fandom space to enjoy at all is because of the people who paved the way for us to create, yes, even gay fanart, without being arrested over it (except if you’re in china. is that what you want here too?)
you stomped onto our yard, ignored the “roses” sign, and then yelled at us for the thorns pricking your hand. you came into spaces we had built and started a fucking identity around falsely accusing strangers of being pedos because you dont like the ships
i am so sorry but life after highschool going to be very rough for you if you keep living this way
