cultural context for those who dont know:

Jugemu etc. (abbreviated for convenience) is a Japanese rakugo story–basically a comedic and often overly dramatic narrative told by a guy sitting down with only a fan and cloth as props– about this kid who’s given all these names cuz dad couldn’t decide what to call him after getting suggestions from a priest at the temple.

so one day he’s playing with a friend but the friend hits his head and which forms a bump but when he’s trying to complain to Jugemu etc.’s parents, the name takes so long to say that the bump eventually goes away before he can properly blame him.

another version involves Jugemu etc. falling into a lake or something and all his friends and townspeople playing a massive game of telephone trying to pass on the news (which takes a while because of the long name getting repeated over and over).
