There is a gif set where Lupita Nyong’o and Dinai Gurira discuss how the West colonized the African content to steal it’s natural resources, but I thought this twitter thread helped re-iterate that this is still happening today.

I enjoyed Black Panther sO much. I’m happy to see the movie is hugely successful ~and~ placing so many timely, relevant issues to the forefront, and into the consciousness of new generations and older generations of people.
