Lars thoughts.

Lars was handled with almost scary precision here. He’s certainly a badass but his insecurity and overall childishness holds him back which means his arc is far from over thank God. He seems a lot more domineering than I was expecting and despite him genuinely loving the Off Colors he has no problem putting his foot down and ordering them in a hardass fashion. This seems to make them extremely effective but also with less autonomy than the Crystal Gems as they can’t even function unless Lars is ordering them around. I also noticed some rather overt parallels between him and Pink Diamond with their brattiness, color schemes and similar rants about not getting what they wanted (though Stevonnie snapped Lars out of it and he seemed rather accepting of the idea that Sadie has moved on) and it just has me curious about where they’ll go with that. Overall he was basically flawless and still stands as one of the most complex and unique characters SU has to offer.
